When talking of Frankfurt, most people have the fifth largest German city and financial hub in mind: Frankfurt/Main. But there is another Frankfurt: Frankfurt (Oder) is located next to the polish border - just like Frankfurt/Main it carries the byname of the river that passes the city. Frankfurt (Oder) is location of the European University Viadrina - and with 60.000 inhabitants significantly smaller and less known than Frankfurt/Main. Actually, not all the international students coming to Frankfurt (Oder) were always aware of the fact that there are two Frankfurts.
